The real shameful act is by Sundance supporting this film and distinguishing it as a documentary which it is not. I would say it’s more of a or mockumentary. Yet it makes sense why Sundance and HBO would be interested in this film - it sensationalizes the subject of child molestation playing with our addiction to the spectacle of sex and taboo. And also knowing that in this age of disinformation many will not be able tell the difference between truth and lies. Therefore the film will be supported by many -sadly -who will not question the very nature of this film THAT IT IS NOT A DOCUMENTARY in the sense where it offers different viewpoints. It’s more along the lines of a film or docudrama which is the majority of the types of documentary that Sundance and other organizations like Sundance such as Tribeca films seem to be interested in these days. Then there is also the fact that the truth about these lying grown men who make false accusations is available and been pointed out over and over again in the media for years. I would have loved to have seen that fact and point of view included. Yet because the film is supported by the POWERS Sundance and HBO the public at large will accept this as an authentic documentary which it isn’t. It’s a mockumetary in disguise at best and a sick joke at worse. So not only are we being fed misinformation and as to what this film is but the actual content in itself is completely false.
