Robert Pattinson could have been a great potential as the batman if only the director was not Matt Reeves. The pace is SO slow, the storybeat is dragging, the scriptwriting is childish and not clever at all, the sound (oh my gosh..) is forcing it too far, the plot could have been interesting but there are so many elements that ruin the story, it is not focused on the message. Poor casting choice aside from the bat and cat. There is no groundbreaking cinematography. The car chase is unnecessary for the plot, it feels like the director put it there just for the sake of action. There are jumbled elements like cowboy shot, fast and furious goodbye shot, horror shots etc etc. The batman is depicted as lame rather than depressed, which makes us hard to relate to him as Batman. If this meant to be detective movie, the script and plot are not strong enough. Frankly, this feels like a work of someone who doesnt love the batman, the character, the struggle, the movie, this feels like the work of someone who just wanna try something out with Robert Pattinson and DC heroes as a toy. This movie just doesnt work as a whole for Batman. This does not need to be compared to Nolan's, but as a movie of the batman itself, this is very disappointing.

( Spoiler alert ! ) It seems like the creators are confused with what message they wanna punch in this film - friendship ? Done that in the first movie, with a stronger storyline and conflict. This movie starts with existential / identity crisis - interesting ! - but then snowballing into incoherent whatever-conflict-you-can-add-just-toss-it-there junk.. Most of us are awed by the world because it relevants so much, and they are successfully blinding / distracting us from the BIG plot holes. Tricking us into believing that this is actually a good movie because it touches deep emotional human conflicts, but Because the world distracts us too much, the characters and the conflicts arent well built AT ALL. The solution to what seems to be the main conflict ( insecurity ? ) is just too sickening and unreal. The storybeat is jumbled up i cant grasp one solid red line to make me believe the character's conflict. Seems like Disney is too busy trying to please the "investors" (ie: google, buzztube, etc) more than working on a solid founded Story to be built up to punch the message to our guts. The Disney Princesses scene is not even necessary to exist. And what's with the male frog kissing Ralph ?! This movie is a total failure for me, it's sickening halfway through, the worst Disney animated movie so far - apart from the creative idea in building the relevant internet world. My words dont even do justice to this dissapointing movie. Do yourself a favor to watch this movie AND the first again to see which is a good storytelling and which is a business-driven/oriented one..
