A proper Transformers movie, without Michael Bay. Can I just say that's a relief to hear. This movie showed what hard core transformers fan's have always wanted, and being one of them I'm quite pleased to see how this movie turned out.
Just from the opening sequence alone It only took Travis Knight a minute and a half to completely obliterate the past transformers films. And even the robot designs Is something I truly appreciate. Having the characters styled like they did original just took my breath away. Unlike the previous tranformers films, In this one you can Immediately recognize the characters. The characters didnt look like Insects. And I'm glad they gave Bumblebee a voice for this film, although It doesn't last the entire film It was still a great a addition.
The story for this movie actually makes sense and It has a good balance of action
drama and comedy. The cast was perfect In my opinion. The girl who plays Charlie Watson did a great job portraying her character, same goes for the parents, the boyfriend and the girls little brother. John Cena did surprisingly well In this, guy has got what It takes.
The robots characters and how they were shown on screen didnt feel static at all, and that they weren't just placed there. The robots actually showed emotion unlike In the Bay films.
