It is a family movie, about strong bonds between generations, that transcend even divorce and separations. I would say a warm movie, lots of empathy and connection. Is life mostly like that? I don't know, probably, statisticaly. One thing I find a bit unrealistic, it is mostly a life of happy accomplished and goodloking people, and their misfortunes are small and insignificant, everything just flows. When I try to understand Mason he is too generic, failures and mistakes are life. Passing by a perfect oportunity and missing it completely. Regret, despair, pain. Who knows, as an expeeriment it is interesting to watch..but I cannot escape impression, that it is still artificial. Ethan Hawke was excellent.
