xLaw-abiding citizen review Gerard Butler's big old grumpy face has loomed large on the sides of buses this week across the world, advertising Law Abiding Citizen, his violent new thriller about revenge. Gerard Butler is the producer and star of this extremely gory and stomach-turning new picture, which comes worryingly close to revenge-torture – and in which we are invited to sympathise, more than a bit, with the torturer. Jamie Foxx stars as an assistant DA who finds himself at the mercy of a spiteful vigilante (Gerard Butler) hell-bent on avenging the death of his wife and daughter, whose murderers are set free due to legal inadequacy. in my opinion, this is an 8.5/10 from me as "Law Abiding Citizen" is a remarkable adrenaline-pumping movie experience that is unexpectedly very intriguing. This is one of the few movies that have the audience take sides of the antagonist rather than the protagonist; and although the movie had a remarkable plot, the ending was unfulfilling and implausible to conclude the movie as 'fully satisfying' hence why I would rate this an 8.5/10. and not a 10/10.
