In a “steamy thriller” the main characters should not have to blatantly admit to each other they are attracted to each other. the body language and screen chemistry should tell it-Bad acting and or lack of confidence in the actors to get the point across. What rich successful innocent black man going to prison for life or death row is more concerned with questioning his attorney in mind games….The music was awful. It wasn’t a legal thriller ( no court room or prison scene). Very dark-low budget . I give it 1 star because it wasn't a chick flick or played out Medea and zero isnt an option.

The writing has horrible mistakes-such as the scene where Nikki gets into a fight for someone calling her grandmother-Eve a skillet referring to her dark skin when in fact, Eve is not dark, but peanut butter or caramel complexion at the darkest. If the show was centered around Morris Chestnut , Joe Morton and Nadine Ellis it would have Shonda Rhimes popularity-5 star. Anything with Debbi Morgan is at least 3 stars. I would watch season 2 if the main story involves the DuPont's and Franklins real drama and cover ups and the Eves Crown story line takes a back seat.

One of the few shows that is funny where the entire family can watch without hiding eyes or turning the channel.

It kills me to see someone like Tyler make a terrible show. The acting is horrible. The story lines are old and not believable especially for black families.
