‘Trap’ is a film that sadly falls flat in almost every conceivable way. The acting is the first glaring issue—it's painfully wooden and unconvincing throughout. The cast seems as if they were plucked off the street and given a script minutes before shooting began. Their performances are so lackluster that it’s hard to take anything happening on screen seriously.
Speaking of what's on screen, the so-called "escapes" are utterly laughable. Every time the characters find a way out of a seemingly impossible situation, it defies not just logic but the basic rules of common sense. These moments are less thrilling and more eye-roll-inducing, to the point where I genuinely wondered if the filmmakers were trying to make a parody of the horror genre.
And then there are the scenes that simply don’t make any sense. There are entire sequences that feel completely disjointed, as if they were randomly inserted without any regard for continuity or narrative coherence. It’s as if the filmmakers stitched together bits and pieces from different movies, hoping it would somehow form a cohesive whole, but it doesn't.
Overall, "Trap" was such a mess that I honestly thought it was supposed to be a comedic horror. I kept waiting for the punchline, but it never came. What was likely intended to be a serious, terrifying film instead turned out to be an unintentional farce. Save yourself the time and avoid this train wreck.
