A well put together first season. I'll be interested to see where they take things next. Most of the changes make sense - having characters that know each other better works IMO. People complaining about casting choices are mostly full of s**t and seem to be the type to rant about women or POC doing anything, though a few performances are weaker (notably Auggie's). Benedict Wong probably the standout of the season but others put in a good shift too.
Overall, the adaptation maintains the sense of intrigue from the books but makes it more accessible to a general audience. I hope more people give it a try and ignore the 1 out of 5 reviewers, who are clearly delusional or just rebelling against some perceived sleight. There are flaws you can point to, but the idea the show is a 1 is entirely preposterous.
Probably about a 4.5 for me so far - B&W can do great work when the source material is available and they have it all the way through for these books
