Production was on point, as the awards this movie received show. However, the storyline is not amazing. The whole plot and trailer is around the British soldiers flying to the Netherlands and specifically Will, crashing behind enemy lines. Though, the movie was most centred on the dutch civilian rebellion against the Nazi and how they tried to provide intel to the First Canadian Army so they could flank the enemy lines. 3 story lines: the British pilot, the rebel Dutch civilian and the Dutch soldier questioning if he is on the 'right' side. Only 2 were needed. The story around the British crash behind enemy lines does not add anything to the movie and seems more like a $ grabing from the UK -and allies- views this movie will attract. Great battle scenes though and still enjoyable to watch.
