Kirsten is wonderful and her story is like that of many ambitious blue-collar workers who through no real fault of their own become "losers" who want to improve their lot. The humor is somewhat dark but definitely there, like Krystal's boot. Krystal is smart, spunky, and inventive, with a little bit of crazy thrown in. The cast of characters around her are sad and all seem to depend on Krystal in their own way. Give it more than a try as the various characters are fleshed out in the episodes. You will like and admire Krystal.

like the concept and attention to subject matter but the heavy music coupled with the female lead's hard to understand accent usually makes me turn it off before the show is over. Either get an American actress or put the show on BBC.
