No local co-op? Right off the bat, the devs missed the point entirely of a game like this.
The joy of playing with friends or family sat in the same room as you is truly where the strength of games like these lie.
Without that element, this is just a repetitive mini game. There is nothing stand out. The card system feels shoehorned in and unnecessary. The fact that you're forced to go online or pretty much can't progress or unlock other characters seems like a way to force people to get Xbox live.
The trailer looked very cool, but the actual gameplay feels uninspired. The gameplay is like the space jam 2 of games: a soulless bastardized attempt at cashing in on nostalgia.
