This is tripe of the lowest order. The acting is weak, and the direction isn't helping. The writing is nothing special, either.
The routines they do are essentially the same every episode. There's very little variation, no real progress throughout the series, and it makes things even less believable.
The issue between the main character and her mother could've been resolved early in the series, and we could've focused on the tension between the Vanilla-Mean-Girl and the main character to, at very least, some comic effect.
