He spares no detail about the epidemic from questions of pang in a lover's heart due to separation and quarantine to the questions of how govt administration would deal with a wide-spread disease. Reading this book feels like reading the current state of people's minds in and before the pandemic due to COVID-19. One can only imagine what it is like to be a doctor like Dr. Rieux through Camus' lens.
