Tezor Dedam

The story pans out proportionately with plot twists and surprises. The Suddenly Seymour scene was magical and the acting was excellent. The ending did a revisit of the scene where Slate said her ex was her oxygen mask person....all without actually referencing it. Also, notice how the main love interests never kissed? Or how it didn't end in the usual fairy tale trope that romcoms have tortured us with? Best one I've seen this year.

The effort by the director and cast is admirable. But it's a trope that has beaten on over and over again - The cancer love story. The plot is bleak and the characters weren't captivating enough. Too many cliches, too predictable. The typical life of a cancer patient is depicted poorly too. It's basically a short-fallen attempt to invoke emotion in the watcher and the execution could have been better. Again, Kudos to them for trying. Making a movie is not easy task and their effort is respectable.
