It's quite depressing and even devastating that people find anything disingenuous, incorrect with a movie which is absolutely heart warming and staggeringly emotionally rewarding. What better way for kids to understand the tragedies of bowing down to peer pressure, seeking validations from others(even if its all of them) and being complicit in crimes of such tragic proportions than this movie. Jojo and Yorkie make their own realizations at a tender young age of 11 and having fought a war for the wrong side. Some moments were a lot more heart wrenching but overall the movie is entertaining, well told, stunningly cast, scripted, directed. A grand entertainer for all ages and all times. It doesn't molly coddle kids and sugar coat events- still manages to make you laugh. That's wizardry of that Waititi guy.
