I only gave two stars because I I loved the costumes and wardrobe. However I feel like the show was a true discredit to The Queen herself and her family. It completely destroyed Rev C.L Franklin and didn’t focus on any of his good points. The show made him seem like another out of control man in Aretha’s Life. Aretha loved her father and while yes he had his flaws I feel like the show discredited their relationship a lot. A lot of the dates were inaccurate as well.
