It was amazing, something like a dream. "Every chapter invited you to start it" is something every positive book review either says or alludes to, but I won't say that. I will say that the book itself invited you from the first words, the first sentences and no more inviting was needed. You were in it, you were there, in the novel, living the life of the characters, of Jasmine. This book was a love story, not only in the literal sense but in the connection between Jasmine and America, between Jasmine's family and America. The novel lacks nothing.
