an absolutely gripping, edge of your seat thrill ride from start to finish, you feel as if you are there with the female lead characters, it's also refreshing to find out that help and communication is not broken like in so many other films. I enjoyed how the film explores the genuine terror of the open ocean, as if it's a different world which it is, humanity is unable to develop or prosper in any way under the water, it's a hostile environment when things go wrong, nothing is optional, it is do or die, this narrative is well developed within the story. I like how they were able to do so much within a relatively small area. Top notch acting as well really helped, the cast believe in their part in the film and as a result, feels realistic. One of the best films I've seen in years.

Being from the same era as The Exorcist, This really is a proper 80's horror movie with world class acting crew, sometimes a lacking, crucial element in modern horror, I really felt like I was there in a memory gone by, this is what powerful acting is capable of, they nailed it. I am 28 years old and this shakes me up even as a horror-watching fanatic. Firstly I love how visually terrifying the alien monster is which has a slightly changed appearance throughout, the viewer benefits from a variety of monsterous gory, alien images that sear into the mind's eye. with the monsters similar properties to a virus, (more chilling with current Covid19) it can shape-shift into any human, animal or both, causing massive disruption to the scientists. The SFX department did an excellent job at making the monster as ugly as possible and dripping goo, blood and pus at every oppurtunity. Be ready for plenty of drama, distrust in each other, moments of insanity, fire and explosions, it may seem a little far fetched, but the imagination and creativity is impressive, I would go as far to say it's ahead of it's time. If you want the fright of your life, this is up there the best horror films ever made.possibly in my top 10.

4 stars: it's a very good film, but I couldn't help but feel a bit cringey when the cast has to re-iterate throughout "we're doing this for money, settle down" that wears thin when someone is mistreated and dies because things got out of hand trying to follow rules 100% of the time, you just know that violence was inevitable after that moment. Also quite the jab at the failings of a Beauracracy, people are not numbers, they are complex and react differently, giving historic precedent to Mutiny on a pirate ship. It's highly watchable, I was engaged with the story through out. Stand up performance from Whittaker

I like to draw comparisons with Terminator and I robot with extra steps. If you are familiar with these and are a fan, then you are in for a treat. Worth the £9.49 at a VUE cinema, the Megan toy "doll" is the Artificial Intelligence prototype of Greta Thunberg, or a prettier version of Chucky, masterminded by the Aunt of a troubled emo child with dead parents from the snow plow accident. Megan had humble beginnings in a underground lab and was interpreted as a corporate failure by the CEO. but the Aunt did not give up hope and persevered. Megan is given a primary care giver objective to protect Cady, by any means necessary and doing this task all too perfectly, it's not long before the bodies hit the floor and Megan is learning "too much, too soon" the all-singing, all-dancing" computer-kid becomes out of control as it was not given fully comprehensive boundaries in it's programming, the scope of it's capabilities exceed that of it's creator. It becomes inevitable to realize the urgency of bringing about the end of the machine via a screwdriver. Ominously, it is suggested at the end of the movie that Megan has managed to upload it's component software into The Cloud (TM) for future cloning purposes, leading a potential segway into part 2. The story is fantastic and never failed to be emotionally gripping as we begin to understand why the child chooses the robot in favour over the guardian due to past trauma of the child. Cady is smart enough to put family first when push came to shove, from Megan. The movie is a winner because the idea's are fresh and only build on top of old one's. There isn't a moment in the film I didn't enjoy. It is 5 stars from start to finish.

i watched the whole of season 1. It is interesting how the plot develops and there's so much more time to develop it than in a 2 hour movie of this style for example, it locks you in to where you begin to root for some characters and hate others as they branch off as couples we also see sub plots develop in their personal lives and relationships formed due to the circumstances, in the words of Rhianna "we found hope in a hopeless place" is the perfect irony here. it's incredibly gripping and intense, we see these big kids start to develop similar ideas to what most people would do in such a scenario adding a sense of realism. Things like organising events to pass the time such as cinema and prom, managing the food, a political system, a forensic team, a committee for "going home", guards to keep the peace. People are forced to work together in order to survive, function snd make progress in finding a way out "when the cats away the mice will play" certainly was the theme in the beggining but partying gets old very quickly, it dawns on them they might be stuck there for a long time, the whole functioning of "The Society" becomes a system based on trust and a "do what we can with what we have" attitude, which you wouldn't expect from the average teenager. at best i think the season 1 explores human ingenuity very well and plenty of twists and turns along the way, ive not seen this genre before but after a few episodes you do get to appreciate the acting. the cast and the writing is brilliant, there's still questions unanswered so there's still plenty of scope for another season, bring it on!

Undoubtedly a great film, it was on ITV2 today, all characters were likeable. It's quite a "far-out" film with plenty of crazy happenings, our main character is a bit of an Einstein and a fool at the same time, creating an attack of the giant food!... While it brought laughter and tears, I couldn't help but think the film verges into the realm of utterly ridiculous... The dad's mono brow being lifted to reveal eyes was pure comedy.. Sometimes the film also felt like a thinly veiled nightmare that is genuinely terrifying, even for a 6'3 30 year old man like myself, which could have worsened if they showed the food turning into bacteria, I'm glad that was avoided because it's a cartoon... One thing is for sure that only a Big Brain director could invent such a "mad" film. It's bonkers, but it also has a good story to fit in with the artistic imagination behind the scenes. I would recommend it. Now I look forward to part 2

Chris Nolan's Oppenheimer is a cinematic blast from the past. Explosive acting, implosive politics, trials, plenty of dialogue to chew over, although at times hard to understand parts of speech, This is Nolan's signature that he only does one take. Cillian Murphy is very believable. Previous works such as Interstellar are a good indication of what to expect from the same director and he doesn't dissapoint. This is a thinking-man's film by which I mean your attention cannot wander, the 3 hours does not feel too long duration, it's needed to explain the story, always a better story when based on real events imo it takes out the guesswork. The film exposes what governments really are, an organised mafia of suits who steal the brains of humanity for their own agenda, then trash the inventor by way of discrediting their reputation using tricks and tactics. thankfully truth emerges in the end of the kangaroo court. It is thoroughly worth watching again, I think this film will stand the test of time as a classic that you must see more than once, truly the invention of the Atomic bomb has changed the course of real human history forever, so this film has a high level of significance when we think about things like "the end of the world" it isn't science-fiction. Highly recommended.

Boring, forgettable, too much run time, script is weak and somewhat confusing. That Ugly kid that makes clocking noises made me want to turn it off and not finish. Acting is subpar. In fact I had to take a break to cure my boredom midway, I did finish it, with notable struggle. The thing with Paimon and the 8th King of hell didn't make much sense, we barely got an explanation of what Paimon is and how it's relevant to the series of unfortunate events?! There are loads of people who come from nowhere appear in the Tree House right at the end, who are they!? Definitely don't waste your time with this film. I'm usually a fan of Horror but this is just a bad apple In the genre, it would have been better if all the characters died then the screen fades out because none of them are useful

I liked this movie a lot, the cast choice was great, Pierce Brosnan is one of my favourite actors from my childhood.. He brings Bond charm, charisma and cool to the role and is really the first reason why I decided to watch. it's been a long time since I had genuine laughs with comedy movies, they are typically tongue- in- cheek, which is to be expected. Being a part-action movie kept my interest, the cop car chase through the graveyard with hopeless basket-case Adam Devine in shrek costume was pure entertainment and original thinking on the script. In amongst all the doom and gloom on the news in the last 3 years, Adam Sandler proves his hand as a quality director, I am not a fan of him and I didn't read the credits but he's obviously better placed to direct, than act himself, similar can be said for Quentin Tarantino (off topic) Sandler's sense of humour is not for everyone, but why should you turn your brain on when the goal is to make the audience laugh through comedy? Being a smartarse shouldn't mean you become a stoney faced boring drip. Lighten up a lil, eh? Sit back, chill out and immerse yourself in hilarity in which The Outlaws provides unto thee.

It certainly has it's funny moments, but I can't help thinking the whole series is “carried" by Arnold Schwarzenegger which is the only reason I watch it and any high points are smoothed over... Or should I say ruined by Fortune Feimster. Aka The blonde Snorlax. Her character is detestable, like what Lisa Simpson was to the Simpsons, there's always 1 who is a joykill. Like Why does she think it's OK to “sack tap" Arnie for being sentimental, these 2 words should never be put together, it would have funnier if she got face-tapped for being a bossb××××. Hopefully she will be written off the show in one of those Boro suit-case nuke missions get bullet-tapped and be missed like a hole in the head... However the other characters are likeable, but I doubt the CIA have enough time to crack 1990's jokes/references all day... Some things are also predictable and for such a post-modern style of script, the old trope of "muh wife n kids" from the supposedly failed husband being used as leverage by bad guys or a cry of pleading to keep them safe, is ironically as old as time itself, the single man can only be written as a Giggolo is annoying, I get the feminist vibe of man hating being normalised for the lulz isn't that funny.. no inventive thought given to how to write single men with no wife, no kids. The relationship between the kid Monaco Barbara and arnie is what to expect from millenials/gen z she goes on to be a hypocrite by ghosting her boyfriend for work while still holding a grudge against her dad for doing the same thing to her mother (bringing home the bacon) wife doesn't want a stay at home dusty, can't have it both ways.. , Monaco should still be getting the belt to change that attitude... Though she is incredibly good looking, similar to Kylie Jenner, another person who carries the show imo lol... Overall I think Arnie has been dealt a mediocre hand of cards when it comes to casting, I feel bad for him.. The only other actor worth his salt is Travis Van Winkle who I think they are holding back in the script and he doesn't get enough airtime... Too much airtime is given to the blonde balloon chic.. Yes, the show has problems, but it is somewhat engaging only because Arnie is there, I personally think I could have a field-day re-writing some of the script and changing the cast to compliment Arnie's acting and still be funny rather than all appear beneath him. Like I said before this is a Arnie Show before it is anything else, he needs stars to work with, not a whole bunch of Z listers. Without Arnie, Gabriel Luna and the potential of Travis the show would struggle to gain traction with audiences, however I maintain that it is watchable while these 3 powerhouse actors, carry the series to forefront of the hearts and minds of the people, there are some good plot twists, still further development of the series leaves much to be desired.
