This is a work that's designed to do two things - a cash grab on cheap shock and attempt to give press to a fading 80 year old director. There's nothing new or original here, it's a movie simply designed to insult a group's beliefs and then ride the wave of fake 'controversy' it generates for press and sales. We've had enough of the press peddling cheap outrage pieces to get clicks the last 2 years, I don't need it in my movies. It's time for new directors to be let on the stage that create something interesting to say and not peddle cheap tricks. This felt like a new low for Hollywood and Verhoeven.
