They're just just gas lighting conservatives at this point. The whole thing plays like how Democrats handled covid - incompetent political experts silencing actual on the ground experience to boost profit for corporate political donors... You know over prioritizing saving people's lives. They try to sell it as a poorly masked analogy for climate change, but no one involved in the project has ever read any literature on climate change, so again, when they start talking about listening to scientists it again falls flat, because they don't know what the scientists are actually saying. But of course in Netflix world, it's the people who love the American flag and have a southern accent that are the idiots. They tried to parody Trump with their president character, and accidentally made a perfect hybrid of Kamala Harris and Hillary Clinton. At one point, the Ariana grande character, after outing herself as a selfish insecure brat earlier in the film, is literally singing to people to "trust the legitimate scientists". Which is weird because real life Ariana is part of the vaccine propaganda that has silenced legitimate scientists like Peter McCullough, Pierre Kory, and Bret Weinstein. Tl;Dr, the left can't meme. The un-selfawareness is staggering. They unintentionally parody themselves while thinking they were trashing conservatives. Why would Leo do this to his career?
