As family Christmas movies go, The Knight Before Christmas is what you would expect: family fun, with some danger mixed in. I actually found this movie to be reasonably entertaining. Taking into consideration that Vanessa Hudgen’s character, Brooke, eventually came to accept (even if begrudgingly) that the handsome, medieval beau, was actually from the 14th century, the movie didn’t disappoint at all. For a family movie, implanting an old-world character into modern day was pulled off fairly well. The the medieval knight’s ancient dialect and knowledge, was successful in its invocation of comedic mishaps as he made his way through the modern world, with Brooke’s help.
