Good Morning.
I am a daily viewer of all of MSNBC's programs. I have your app on my phone, so as to always be in touch with your journalism.
I am a retired, lifelong RN from Charlotte County Florida. I have voted Democratic since my first opportunity in 1972.
In my lifetime, I have watched the end of unionism in America - less than 11% of Americans belong to unions (<7% in the private sector). Concomitantly, I have watched the end of the great, post WWII middle class. We're not even referred to as "middle class:" we're now the "working class!" BTW, "middle class" starts at $35/hour!
1. Happily, at age 68, I have 2 candidates running for president who are, actually, Democratic candidates: Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. All the others are simply fake republicans in disguise!
I know that this terrifies MSNBC. Imagine a real Democrat becoming President!!?? Don't be afraid. It's good for you, too.
2. Stop bashing Medicare for All. Every time one of your cowardly commentators bashes Medicare for All, I have to think; "Which healthcare corporation bought that person?!"
Healthcare Corporations (Big Pharma, Hospital Corps., and "Health" insurance companies) have one motive: PROFIT!! They don't care if you live or die.
Despite our best efforts, we RN's can't overcome these forces and save your life. Bring your own advocate with you - you'll have a better chance of survival in the hospital.
Incidentally, there is NO NURSING SHORTAGE!! There is a shortage of nurses who will work under the oppressive conditions in the modern/corporate hospital structure. Improve nurse-patient ratios, and RN hospital employment will increase immediately (a la California: 15% increase).
In short, stop lying to the American people. Real Democratic politics is not radical: it's the real platform of the "Working Class." Additionally, do your homework on Medicare for All: Ask a Registered Nurse!
