Putting these three actors together is like looking at the cosmos through a telescope: just when everything is familiar, you discover something fantastically new. The script is full of odd-ball comedy bantering, plot twists and the actors doing everything that we've come to expect: Ryan's clever quips, Dwayne's stern, stoic badassness and Gal's sophistication and intellect.
This is a MOVIE, not a documentary. It delivers a fun, entertaining story in all of its action/ buddy movie/ comedic/ cheesy popcorn goodness. It's not supposed to be realistic, it's supposed to be FUN entertainment. The script, acting and special effects deliver.
If critics want the type of movie they say that Red Notice isn't, go watch Benedict Cumberbatch playing Hamlet in the west end of London where he steals the Mona Lisa while having an existential crisis during an ebola outbreak caused by a terrorist attack.
