One of the best Marvel movies I’ve seen! Great performances from the whole cast and really well-written characters, not all of them got a ton of screen time but I still felt so connected to them. I’ll be excited for future movies with this bunch! And of course the film is beautiful aesthetically but I would expect nothing less with Chloe Zhao in the director’s chair!

I wanted so much to like this movie and while Jimmy O. Yang actually turns in a charming performance he just couldn’t save this train wreck. The writing seemed to get worse as the movie went on and I couldn’t stand Natalie’s character; she professed to have such high morals and standards but proved herself to be a shallow person who was quick to lie to get the hot guy. I get that the movie was supposed to be about her have some realization and gaining self-awareness but I was so fed up with her by the end, I didn’t really care if she got her happy ending.
