Truly a magnum opus for it's creators, the true pinnacle of Donkey Kong as a media series. This is better than the video games, even Donkey Kong 64. The animation conveys an artistic message by the act of it's own simplicity, owing to the primitive tools of the time period. The writers and artists weren't monkeying around though- they worked long and hard and even used motion capture for a few parts. In the 1990's, that was considered bananas for a TV show! Truly the best animated work of the 1990's.
