I liked the book but unfortunately couldn't believe that a child could survive and thrive the writer loaded too much onto her for it to be in anyway believable as if to be human wasn't enough she made her too extraordinary - an expert in too many subjects then added beautiful poet and murderer to the mix .... I wasn't surprised by the discovery that she had learned from the fireflies that part was clear early on - and was glad that Tate wasn't involved as this would have been too obvious. But don't think there other achievements were credible - formal education has to be given more credit surely than a few reading lessons by a teenager to a child -
