As far as I can tell, this series equates to a "soap opera", that's happens to be going on in the White House. We don't imagine stuff at that level, happening in the White House, so it does seem a bit overly dramatic. Once I saw it like that, it was easier to watch. You just need to see the script and the actors in a soap opera style and then you'll get it. Tyler Perry knows what he's doing.

There are episodes in this series thar deserve Oscar's; so profound, dramatic, traumatic, compelling. Best actors ever!

Loved it. I don't generally like to watch movies or TV shows in a language other than English, because it's too hard on my eyes to read the subtitles. However, I wanted to watch something different. I'm so very glad I did and will recommend it to others. The cast was just phenomenal.
