This s an unusually candid account of 70s communal living - candid because it draws on material that communards willingly shared with the author at the time for his doctoral thesis. Such material would never get past the ethics committees these days! The doctoral thesis was never completed, but instead we have this 1st 2nd and 3rd hand account of life at Laurieston Hall, and it's a small jewel of history.
