I am engaged and hooked. It is triggering me though. And I really wish I could stop watching it. I do think it portrays some of the government help negatively. And why didn’t she get wic and food stamps. And no one with 200 dollars a month on food stamps is buying a 6 dollar bottle of organic milk. That was unrealistic. And saying that the state only gives daycare once you get a job is a lie. They will give you cash assistance and daycare to help you look for a job. And most states also offer DV assistance. Maybe this show could also use this topic for good by leaving the DV hotline number on the beginning and end of each show. And just remind people that there is help and it is not always as dark as this show makes it seem.
