Decent but not amazing game with plenty of content to play (of varying quality, TBH), but also a lot of (mostly) minor glitches. A lot of people diss it as pay-to-win, but I think it's more accurate to call it pay-to-win-quicker. You can get through the story arcs without paying anything. Some of the late-game missions are...frustrating to say the least using in-game drops or not-billions-of-credits equipment on the in-game market, but you can get through them with a handful of die-respawn cycles. The missions don't usually reset if you die so you can just fly back to the battle, off a couple more severely Over-Powered NPC ships, blow up, rinse and repeat until done (Ragnarok mission comes to mind). You can purchase Zen with real money to help upgrade gear and equipment quicker and reduce some of the frustration, but you can get the same upgrades the slow way grinding dilithium and exchanging it for Zen without spending a dime. I see it as a game that you play in fits and starts - spend a couple weeks plowing through content, get bored and set it aside for a while, then come back and pick up where you left off.
