We can say anything but still… it will not do justice to this underrated gem. It is exceptionally good, I just finished it on PS5 but I do plan to to buy it for the PC since it was included in the PS Plus collection for free and I would really like to support the studio and its effort. An epic adventure, riveting story, graphics, sound, music and effects to another level for its time, a masterpiece of the gaming industry, literally pulls the user like a whirlwind into its lively and dangerous post-apocalyptic world, rendering Deacon St John’s and the rest of the survivors’ struggle to survive and regain their world (or perhaps our world?) from the freaks in the best way by making him (the player) an active participant in the events and conflicts that are created unintentionally or by the parallel actions of people who despite the catastrophe that has fallen on them and the daily danger they face, they continue to act on the basis of their personal interests, obsessions or malicious intentions as if nothing has changed. From the first introductory scene until the end, it keeps you on alert about everything, it literally makes you want to deal with every aspect of the game, to complete everything, as if it concerns your own life and not that of a digital protagonist. You become part of everything you experience and that is really the great success of the game in my opinion. If this game was released by Rockstar Games with attention to detail and this is something more that we are used to giving, we would probably talk about a better title than RDR2 and one of the best we have seen as the truth is that there are flaws and bugs, even until today although most of them have been fixed since the initial release. The music and sound effects do worth mentioning separately, the game musical score is just perfect. Voice acting is truly great for the most part and help you get connected to the characters of the game. The 60 fps on the PS5 transform the game and give a ton of next gen feel, even for a small percentage. On PC, this will be a totally new experience since we are talking mostly about very powerful systems for the graphics engine of the game. As far as Sony is concerned. what can we say besides a lot of bravos and a big “Thank you”. The quality and completion of the titles that the company mentions as exclusives, at least those I have tried so far (God of War, TLOU & TLOU Part II, Ghost of Tsushima, Days Gone) literally impress and set the bar too high, since they hit unreachable quality levels, for the competition, and the translation, subtitling or complete translation into many languages is another very strong point where the huge attention paid to detail and the professionalism of its producers is really seen. It is also another way that makes their exclusives stand out from the competition. . And yes this is an important reason to choose your own console today, if you have to choose between the three available on the market. I will give no spoilers so you can live this magnificent journey till the end but what I can say to PC and PS5 users is to just honor this game, we do need more titles like this. Definitely worths the time you invest to it.
