Great little film starring the ever reliable Stephen McHattie as the morning DJ in a small town, where every word can lead to madness for the local population. The movie mostly takes place in the radio studio, as reports come in of increasing disturbances and resend in the area. Great cast, and the tension is ramped up thanks to the claustrophobic setting in the studio. This film maybe went under your radarv when it was released, but it's worth checking it out.

Ignore the reviews for once. This is pretty much a rehash of the first film for a new generation. Great CGI, great fun and yes, there are plenty references to the first movie, the gear, the ghosts, the lot. Go see it, give the reviewers their cocoa and pack them off to bed with a copy of Battleship Potempkin, or if you're feeling mischievous, Battlefield Earth to know what a really bad film is.

Great film, hugely overlooked and with a terrific turn from the excellent Sam Rockwell. Thought provoking, and a neat twist on loneliness, isolation and identity.

Despite negative reviews, I found this quite a thought provoking and ultimately enjoyable film. Worth 100 minutes of your time. And it features Rush in the soundtrack, what's not to like?!

Hefty nods to Tarantino don't disguise some flaws, especially in the earlier part of the film, where it seems to be confused as to where to level the humour and how to pitch some of the characters. Stick with it though as this one's worth persevering with. There's a darker feel in the mid- to latter half of the film that owes more in spirit to Scandinavian noir than it does American drug running story. There were times I wished for a little more urgency, and Arkansas appears to be bereft of local police amid a growing murder rate in drug gang wars, but that's quibbling on a film that wears its heart on its sleeve until it finds its own beat.
