Usama Qayoom Mian

Absolutely loved this show from start to finish. The show combined various genres (horror, found footage, time travel/parallel universe, romance/longing, thriller & suspense) & sub-genres with quite a unique story, and the camerawork, set design and music were top notch. This is the kind of tv that I crave, and I had massive withdrawals after seeing season one end. Even though the ending left a lot to be desired, it still makes for a compelling and engaging show.

Having not read the novel and having been seeing the Apple tv’s tv series ‘Invasion’, I really liked it being more of an atmospheric human drama first, with overall stunning visuals and soundtracks. For three episodes, I thought there was enough alien action, though I’m ok for it not being a threatening and frightening Martian depiction as the primary material. I somehow preferred it to be a hopeful story of human emotion and resilience rather than alien horror.
