This is a witches-centric show, and it is full of revelations and twists for the continuity of mcu. As a direct sequel of WandaVision, it is recommended to watch it and then dr. Strange Multiverse of Madness to grasp the lore of Agatha All Along. And unlike many superhero movies, the story is not about crash, boom, bang, good guy bs bad guy, the good guy wins and gets the girl, it's not that kind of show. It's about a some women and a boy who use mind power rather than brute power, hence we are actually need to digest the story mindfully layer by layer, because so many times things aren't what they seem to be in this show. And we do have a cunning, devilish, morally ambiguous main character, so, what's not to love?

The movie is heartwarming and entertaining at the same time despite the lack of singing and talking animals from the animated version. I sincerely enjoy watching this. Liu Yifei is wonderful as Mulan, delivering a role of a tomboyish girl with a lot of compassion for her family, not only beautiful but also a skillful martial artist. The backdrop is gorgeous. However most of the bad review from China itself i thinki s attributed to the political situation in China. So do try to enjoy the movie without strings attached.
