Josh Gates is pretty fly for a white guy. I’ve been watching since season 1 and there have been some epic episodes, but I’ve lost total interest and respect for Josh, and no it’s not because he ingested a hallucinogen during the episode “life after death”. It’s because he either thinks his viewers are a bunch of idiots, or he just doesn’t care and is a sellout. I truly believe he thinks we are complete idiots and that we can’t tell when he takes footage from his previously aired episodes, or takes 2 episodes blending them together, or just changing networks, and giving all 3 previous circumstances a new episode title and presto, you’ve got a brand new, never before seen episode. Yup, he takes reruns, manipulates them, gives them a new title and expects us to believe they’re brand new episodes. I’d have more respect for him if he wants to take some time off, just put the reruns on. We’ll watch them again and again, but when you call it new and it’s old, we get pissed and turn you off all together. So in conclusion, just give us viewers a little credit that we’re not gonna fall for your back room editing parlor tricks. Friggen run the reruns and when you have a new episode (for real) we will be devoted fans. Until then, we’ll just channel surf right on by.
