9.5/10
“Never Lie” by Freida McFadden is an amazing and gripping psychological thriller that kept me hooked from start to finish. The plot is intricately woven, with plenty of twists and turns that keep you guessing until the very end. McFadden’s writing style is engaging and immersive, making it hard to put the book down.
The characters are well-developed, and their motivations and actions are convincingly portrayed. The suspense builds steadily, and just when you think you have it all figured out, the story takes another unexpected turn.
However, I felt that the Epilogue was unnecessary and didn’t add much to the overall story. It seemed like an afterthought and didn’t provide a satisfying conclusion to an otherwise stellar book. Despite this minor critique, the book remains an outstanding read.
Overall, I highly recommend “Never Lie” to fans of psychological thrillers. It’s a well-crafted story that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I’d rate it 9.5/10, with the only deduction being for the somewhat lackluster Epilogue.
