Every character was terrible, pacing was atrocious. The soundtrack was forgettable and borderline bad. The fact they changed Godzilla's music is just unforgivable. Visually it was good, IF and it's a big if, if you can ignore the random monster scaling. The monsters randomly grow to fit the scene. Need kong to fit on a boat no problem, he fits on a boat. Need him to stand toe to toe with godzilla and make buildings look small? Sure thing... hey we want to fight on to of an aircraft carrier ok! Also we want them to demolish 20 story buildings OK! If I had paid to see this I'd be pissed.

The survival aspect is really lacking. There is almost no challenge to keeping your stats up. The hardest part of the game is getting stuff to and from your base island. You can make a decent size raft and almost sink it by putting 2 items on deck. Storms aren't really dangerous at all, none of your structures get broken from heavy rain or simply wearing out over time. You don't even have to sleep. No real sickness unless you step on a sea urchin and then you slowly die forever unless you craft a cure... It really could be one of the best survival games. It's just too easy. Most of the craft items respawn extremely quickly removing the need to travel other than getting bored. All that said it's a fun game and the graphics are fantastic,just wish it was more challenging and put you in situations where strategy actually mattered.
