Superlative; absolutely brilliant. Phenomenal directing and acting. I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed a series as much. Within seven episodes, there is so much subject material covered—genius, madness, relationships, strength, passion, commitment, addiction, the resiliency of loss, the Cold War, and of course the main star, chess. Much as I enjoyed the series, I felt that the ending was beautiful, complete, and there is no need for a Season 2 which in this case would be similar to Hollywood capitalizing on sequels. 5 plus stars!!!
