Easily the worst version of this game I’ve ever played, and I’ve played almost every version. There’s so many things wrong with this game, I’ll just highlight 2 things. The passing, it’s insanely bad. I’ve played games where you lightly tap the pass to pillow foot it to a player 4 yards away, and it’s fired like a laser shot out of a cannon with a warp drive engine attached to it. Then, you try to make a serious pass 20 yards and hold the pass down to get the power to make it and it’s a 3 yarder you’d pass to your toddler. I’ve had passes go literally in the opposite direction then where I was passing on multiple occasions. This is the case on all settings, assisted and manual passing. Player switching. It’s inconceivably bad. I don’t know who was in charge of mapping out player switching priority, but why I would want to select a player across the field playing left wing and run 30 yards across the field to try to compete for a header when the right back was literally right next to the target is beyond me. The other settings, hoal side or nearest to the ball are even less playable. I could go on for hours, but you’ve probably got other reviews to read that say the same thing, or highlight one of the hundred other insanely blatant flaws this game has. If you do choose to buy this game, buy a hard copy, do not do a digital copy so you can return it. Or, wait until it’s free from whatever gaming subscription you have like game pass or the like. I doubt it will be long based on how diabolically bad this game is.
