I think 5.5~6/10 is fair. I think the game has solid aesthetics, if a bit cluttered and messy a times. The fact it's live service is always kind of disappointing.
There are some legitimately tight aspects to the combat and some of the movement options for the characters feel good the more you master them; but there are some sub-par aspects to combat like the boring, repetitive enemies and most of the upgrade tree.
The campaign just has you do the same 4~5 things over and over. The mission repetitiveness is definitely a turnoff.
The premise is actually really cool, but unfortunately the execution of the story is middling with beloved characters going out with a whimper rather than a bang. While story in games is pretty low on my list of what makes a game fun for me, I can definitely see people dropping the game or not picking it up at all because of the story.
Finally, while I agree that some people cry "woke" too often or quickly, it is equally true that some people deny actual, verifiable woke agenda in games without even considering the possibility. In this game's case, it is likely the later. Suposedly, one of the key consultants for the game was "Sweet Baby Inc" who is known for developing woke stories for video games. At least with this game, there is definitely "woke" leaning to the story. Whether that is good or bad is dependent on the person playing the game, but it is 100% there and personally I'm not a fan.
Putting the story and "woke" leanings aside, the game is an average looter shooter that is rough around the edges but boasts solid visuals and some tight combat mechanics. If they add more enemy variety and tighten up some aspects of the combat (and make the skill trees less dull), then I think the game could be elevated to a solid 7/10, but for now I definitely would give it a 5.5~6/10 at best.
