I think it should have ended after about 5 episodes. I found the characters boring, the interview style format irritating and the music unbearable by episode 9.

I loved the movie. Tom Hanks is a national treasure - such a dark topic and yet he always finds the positive. I loved the robot, Jeff, who definitely evolved in leaps and bounds, finally more then able to take care of Goodyear. My husband fell asleep and didn’t like what he saw - but to me the movie was more of a fairytale, obviously an allegory. Hanks brings the sweetness and comedy though, and the movie ends with an optimistic note.

One star is generous, and it’s really for the rooster. The movie is truly TERRIBLE. I grew up watching Clint movies with my Dad, and have always loved his westerns. But this is the fantasy of an old man. The acting is diabolical, the plot is like a daytime soap. The editing makes nonsense of the story, which is unbelievable and shallow. I think it’s a shame that someone with such an incredible career is indulged to this extent - honestly I laughed out loud at the silliness of it all. I’ll prefer to remember Clint when he was truly golden, a long long time ago.

I liked the movie. Riz Ahmed has such an expressive face, particularly his eyes. That the soundtrack toggled between what he could or could hear, and real sound was cool. The setting was beautiful. Altogether a sweet movie.

I think this was one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. There was no plot, the story jumped from one subject to another with no explanation. I stuck with it because Gal Gadot is so gorgeous to look at, but trying to make any sense of any of the ‘plot lines’ was useless and I gave up. Production is lavish and amazing, the opening Amazon sequences, as in the 2017 movie are magical. But even given the superhero genre, the ‘acting’ wasn’t over the top it was just ridiculous. There were a few highlights other than the Amazons - the fight with the Cheetah was pretty spectacular and Lynda Carter’s cameo was cute. Otherwise this was a very expensive dud.

Don’t understand the title. The movie felt like it was building towards something that never came.

I loved it. Such an ancient story, but handled so well. The characters are complex, being non-human as they are, in a human world. Darkly beautiful, very strange, completely capturing the shadowy world of myth and legend.

I thought it was pretty dreadful. The pace is very slow, much of the minimal dialogue mumbled, and the lighting so gloomy. Juliette Binoche plays an almost comically crazy doctor, throwing around her improbably long hair and sitting on a Sybian sex toy and Pattinson for her enjoyment. The characters are sketchy, the inevitable killing-off unsurprising. The only death that puzzled me was the black guy, who somehow laid himself down on the dirt and became instant compost...? I fell asleep more than once, my husband dropped off about ten minutes in. There is absolutely no empathy or connection with any of the characters, I only stuck around to see how things would end. They did get the black hole right though - that was impressive.

I liked the movie. Bale as Cheney begins to sound more and more like Brando, but really embodies the calculating, dogged politician. The editing is odd, particularly the rolling of credits halfway through, as tongue-in-cheek satire. I do think the packing in of so many fragmented aspects of the pre and post Iraq war years make people realize how corrupt and self-serving this Administration was. When Obama is shown being sworn in it honestly felt like a breath of fresh air in a very stinky room.

The TEETH are way too prominent. And I mean that in two ways - Malik is constantly sucking them and doing odd things with his mouth, and as such the teeth really have the lead. I couldn’t stop focusing on them. And while I understand the teeth are a necessary aspect both for Mercury’s appearance and his reliance on their configuration to create his voice, I felt like every single scene with him we were hit with The Teeth.
