"The first member of the CPY of women from the Berane district is Radmila Nedić. Authority took her head too. She was born on September 4, 1919 in Berane, to father Mihailo, professor and mother Hrisanta, a teacher, Cincarka from Macedonia. As an intellectual family, she was among the first to excel in spreading advanced ideas and democracy. Realizing Mihailov's activities and popularity, the reaction of that time (JENEZ) organized and killed him in 1921, so that Radmila did not even remember him. All this had an impact on the further political orientation and activity of Radmila and her family. She hated the police, the regime and the uniform, and her basic thought was how to avenge her innocently dead father. She finished high school in Berane, with many persecutions, expulsions and enrolled at the Faculty of Agriculture in Zemun. Ever since the fourth grade of high school, she belonged to the progressive movement and was admitted to SKOJ. She became a member of the CPY in 1937. As a student, she participated in all the demonstrations, during one of them, she was arrested and beaten. She also took part in all demonstrations held in Berane and Andrijevica. She was elected a member of the District Committee of the CPY in 1940..."
