This is what I posted on Facebook: I recently finished the 2 available seasons of The Boys on Amazon Prime. I kinda like the series and how it's a bit of a satirical metaphor for our current world, but there is one thing that bugs me. I am not a prude -- honest -- in fact I occasionally use the "f" word myself. And I understand that many folks, especially men, in real life use it (and the "c") word. A lot. So, it's probably very realistic for "The Boys" to cuss a lot. A ton, in fact. Every other word actually. It just seems to me that when the use of certain words is that frequent, they tend to lose their intended impact. It also gets very old. Just sayin'.
