U have to watch the anime series first in order to get the full impact of this beautiful movie. A very WEIRD anime indeed

i really liked dark souls, and at first i didn't connect with bloodborne's victorian era theme, but trust me, the atmosphere in this game is to be remembered and cherished forever, piecing the lore together through clues dialogues here and there, the horror that lurks behind every aspect of the game, and the pace of the gameplay are all more than you would at any rate expect.the atmosphere in a nutshell:gothic werewolf hunting turned into lovecraftian horror of human existense.i liked dark souls, but i ended up loving bloodborne.

the movie IS disturbing. but not because it has flaws, but rather it looks so real it scares the hell out of the audience. Joaquin Phoenix is acting is so excessively good that it completely makes up up for its somehow lack of intelligence in the whole plot. i really thought the first 45 minutes of it as a masterpiece, but the second half was kind of unsettling. and joker's motivations were somehow shallow, but it did kind of makes sense for the character to have this intensity of action in order to develoo into full embodiment of joker villain. i kinda see the point the direction has got: this is how loneliness leads to homocidal behaviour. anyways, this movie IS a must_see for anyone who likes hero movies or psychological dramas or just dark movies in general.
