I was obsessed with these books and still keep them around for easy reading to loan out. That said, I wanted these movies since hunger games started up and actively waited on forums to hear if a movie would be produced. So when I saw this title on Netflix the day after it was released, I literally screamed and told my partner to sit down and watch. I’ve been disappointed in movie adaptations frequently so when I saw that this would be under 2 hours, I thought of all the parts that could be cut and I’d still be happy. Well… this adaptation did not under sell. They did a fantastic job keeping with the book and I was thoroughly surprised by my continued excitement through the movie. Thank you for making this film! I really hope to see Pretties and Specials! (And Extras if the audience calls for it!)

Great concept. Lazy execution. This had so much potential. I’m honestly bored of most of the characters because of lack of dynamic character building. I almost think that the Queen is supposed to be comedy relief but I’m not sure. I was so interested starting off but it’s just too slow to grasp with conversations that don’t seem to matter.
