First things first...thalaivar looks electric and atleast 20 years younger than his actual age. Superb acting, awesome screen presence, he dances, prances, emotes and delivers a block buster performance and that's it...that's it....that'sit. the movie let's him down big time..
Questions - 1. Why Mumbai?? Except few, everyone's lip sync is damn irritating...we could have set this raw and rustic in Chennai itself.
2. Why Nayanthara?? Dont understand why Nayanthara accepted this no value role
3. Weak villains who fall like 9 pins in a single punch including Sunil Shetty 4. Absolutely predictable Climax which is beaten to death in the last 50 years
The issue is Thalaivar thinks he is stuck in a image trap where his sole intention is to play larger than life image ,he thinks audience will not accept him on playing anything lesser.
Amazingly our Superstar has plenty of zest in him to play a longer innings at top level and easily compete with the younger stars. However his choice of script is what bothers us. This could have easily been a tight investigative thriller instead of a rip-off from his 80's movies.
Excellent picturization, sound and commendable performance from Nivetha & Yogi babu...I loved the songs too..Go for it if you are a true die hard Rajini fan just like me..
