Fraggle Rock, The Muppets, Sesame Street, The Muppet Babies and Jim Henson! How is this not known as one of the greatest Christmas specials of all time! If your a Muppet and/or a Jim Henson fan I recommend this special 1000000%! This deserves to be more well known, sadly due to copyright issues this never got a blu-ray or digital release and dvds are very rare. Still a holiday must-watch for my family and hopefully for yours.

I LOVE!!! this film to death. This is and will always be my favorite film of all time!. everyone has talked to death about how good this film is so I'll talk about some of the unjustified hate this film . 1. It's to crude an inappropriate for kids. Where does it say that this is a kids film? cause I don't see it, everyone just because a movie is rated PG does not mean it's for kids. I love this film but I wouldn't show it to anyone under 12. 2. The pacing off, I think this film is beautifully paced so I don't understand the hate. Ok those were the only bad things I could find so I'm gonna talk about 1 thing the movie does best... immersion. The film uses the uncanny valley to kinda freak the viewer out and It's beautifully well done. I don't know whats already been said I just really love this film and It still is my favorite film of all time!

This Film is astounding Dave McKean and Neil Gaiman are a forced to be reckoned with. The film is symbolic for disconnect and not understanding what is the pain you're experiencing. The way this film is shot edited everything is very important and artistic. The plot is a little confusing and I'd be lying if I said that I fully understood what was happing the whole film but I think that's the idea, The protagonist is confused and doesn't quite understand whats going and so is the audience we can relate cause we are confused as well it's something that Neil Gaiman has done before most notably Coraline using the uncanny valley to make us on slightly edge just as Coraline is. I love the visual style Dave McKean will always be one of my favorite directors and between Luna this film might be my favorite of his work. The effects while yes not that good(It's 4 million budget is very visible) but just like toy story they take the bad effects for the time and work with then instead of working against it, I could not imagine this film with any other CGI style other than the one it has. Acting 8/10 music 8/10 writing 9/10 Direction & design 10/10. whole movie: 9/10. A
