Violently Vivid

remember that nightmare you had as a kid? the one where nothing scary happens but you feel existentially terrified in a way you wouldn't know how to describe until well into adulthood. do you remember the therapy it took to bury that back down? I love this movie

it's style is about the only thing going for this movie. some cool fights. whole arch is just so typical. bunch of copy and paste character archetypes. honestly I don't think they ever knew what the point of this story was actually about, just kinda say. "this dude and his skull buddy should be in a cool edgy gangsta anime" and then they made this heap. not even even good for the ironic view. just mediocre on all fronts
