I neither loved or hated this book. It got on my radar thanks to a recommendation from an Ezra Klein guest on his podcast. I was expecting a fun sci fi, that revolved around interesting linguistics. Disappointing flat characters and lackluster plot. I like to come to my own conclusions based on the story. I don't like viewpoints shoved down my throat for 500 pages.

Too much melodrama in this drama! What made the show incredible in the first few seasons was Dr Murphy's super human abilities as a doctor along with the challenges he faced. The writers have ruined it with their politics and divisiveness.
