I watched this show back in 2019 in December for the first time. It was the first C-drama i had ever watched. I used to think C-dramas didn't have what it took like korean dramas so never watched one but i decided to just give it a try on a whim on Netflix and Ashes of Love was the first and it got me hooked on immediately.
The story, plot, characters, scenery, music and everything was AMAZING!! I was shedding a lot of tears as the series slowly approached the middle till the end. my sister thought i was crazy and I was not able to concentrate on doing any other thing for a while cus my mind just thought back to the series and it would instantly make my heart clench and would want to cry.
Ashes of Love made me fall in love with C-dramas and since then i have gone on to watch incredible more like Eternal Love (starring Yang Mi), Legend of Fuyao, The Flame's Daughter, The King's Woman, Love Between fairy and demon, Till the end of the moon, The Long Ballad, Story of Kunning Palace, Novoland: pearl eclipse, The untamed, princess weiyoung, etc. and so much more. I still very much enjoy watching korean dramas and japanese animes but i like to watch good Chinese dramas with good plots. Plus don't even get me started with Chinese culture, their food, clothings, architecture and everything. Incredible and beautiful! I would love to visit China for sure. Eternal Love, Ashes of Love and Story of Kunning Palace are amongst my top 5 favorite chinese dramas of all time.
